CPRCA attempts to strike a balance in funding both local and international projects.
RPCVs and PCVs that are from or currently based in Oregon or Southwest Washington
are strongly encouraged to apply.
Grant applications are approved by a majority vote of voting members present at the
CRPCA general meeting
that coincides with the grant giving cycle. We encourage CRPCA
members to check out upcoming applications that are
posted on the CRPCA website prior to Potluck meetings. All
CRPCA members are welcome to weigh in on this exciting process to
support projects locally and abroad!
Grantmaking Strategy - CRPCA
attempts to strike a balance in funding both local and international projects, believing them
equally deserving. Grant applications are given preference if the project
has secured an in-kind or
matching contribution, and supports a long-term, sustainable project.
International projects applications from Oregon or Southwest Washington
Peace Corps volunteers currently in the
field that demonstrate a philosophy consistent to the three goals of Peace
Corps are preferred.
Local projects affiliated with Oregon or
Southwest Washington RPCVs which to promote the Peace Corps' Third Goal, "to promote
a better understanding of other people on the part of the American people", are
involved in some form of international work/endeavor or
demonstrate an interest in future collaborations
with CRPCA are given preference.
Grantmaking Procedures -
Funding recommendations are made by a vote of all members present at the Board
meeting which coincides with the grant giving cycle. Prior to the meeting, a summary
of all grant applications is posted to the CRPCA website for members to review
in preparation for the vote. Recipients are notified within one week of the
decision and awards are posted to the CRPCA website and included in the newsletter.
If awarded funding, the recipient will be required to sign a contract with CRPCA regarding the use
of the funds and submit an impact report upon completion of the project (impact report form to be
provided by CRPCA). Recipients are strongly encouraged to submit photos related to the project,
and to share their project experience with CRPCA members at one of our Potluck meetings.
How to Apply - To
solicit funds from CRPCA please fill out the Grant Application for submittal to CRPCA
Grants Coordinator Richard Rystrom @
grants@crpca.org.
You will receive
confirmation from CRPCA that your application has been received.
If you have questions, please contact Richard directly.
Peace Corps Partnership
- CRPCA first considers making grants to projects that
apply through our Grant Program. Peace Corps Partnership projects of
PCVs from Oregon and SW Washington are highly
encouraged to apply for funds through our Grant Program.
