News Donations: We recently donated to two current PC projects of volunteers from Oregon. One project is in Morocco and is in support of school libraries there. The other project is in Mauritania and supports the building of a community center. We donated $500 to each. You can donate too! Just click on the link.Dane and Richard went to Olympia for a regional meeting. It was quite lively with folks from Seattle, Bellingham, Spokane, Olympia and Portland in attendance. We shared what people are doing, what is working, etc. Ongoing discussion about the relationship with NPCA. A lot of questions about how it serves (or does not serve ) us. We had input for the seattle group about organizing an event in Seattle May 3 and 4. May 3rd will be a Leadership meeting with NPCA folks. Kevin Quigley and Anne Baker will be there. We outlines some information we would like to get from Kevin and threw around ideas about How we could best use that time. Jennifer from Seattle will be putting something together and I will pass that on. Lunch at 12 meeting 1-5 May 4th will be an Expo. Probably we will have a Restaraunt gathering brunch prior to the start. They plan on presentations from NPCA and Peace Corps and then breaking into groups (Noms in one and RPCVs in the other). Event 12-5ish So think about whether you might want to attend either. There was some talk about taking the train up for the meeting. Local folk will have places to stay. We need a new Regional Rep. Bob Finlay is bowing out.
